LUCY VINTON SALDAÑA

MCALLEN-It is with great sadness that the family of Lucy Vinton Saldaña, 76, announce her passing on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at McAllen Medical Center. Lucy dedicated her life to her family and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Manuela Vinton; a beloved son, Andres Saldaña; and her siblings Alvina Vinton, Juanita Cantu, and John Vinton.

Lucy is survived by her husband, Bruno Saldaña; five children, Jesus Saldaña, Jose Bruno (Marie Cruz) Saldaña, Rosa Maria Ybarra, Norma Mariela (Victorio) Salinas, and Daniel (Mariela) Saldaña; her grandchildren, Bel, Carla, Lucy, Linda, Karen, Karely, Victor and Andres; four great-grandchildren; three siblings, Linda Gallardo, Julian Vinton, and Rogelio “Roy” Vinton; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2024 at St. John the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
