She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Luna Sr.; and four siblings, Martha Flores, Manuel Lopez, Jesus Lopez, and Bertha Garcia.

Her life was a living and shining example of a Proverbs 31 woman. Aurora was an excellent wife and mother. She was a woman who clothed herself with strength and honor, and the law of kindness was always on her tongue. She was industrious and hardworking and never spent her time eating the bread of idleness. Aurora was an amazing cook, who at the age of 90 was still hosting Christmas at her home, and preparing her family a large pot of her famous pozole. Even at 92 she was busy crocheting blankets for all of her family. Aurora Luna was a woman of amazing grace.
