EDINBURG – Fidela G. Luna, 86, died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Luna had lived here all her life.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Santos Hernandez; her second husband, Ruben Luna; a son, Noe Hernandez; and a daughter, Yolanda Sue Hernandez.
She is survived by seven children, Santos (Irma) Hernandez, Jr. of Edinburg, Maria Margarita (Frank) Ramirez of San Antonio, Martin (Elisa Delgado) Hernandez of Edinburg, Noelia (Moises) Alfaro of San Antonio, Juan Adrian (Josie) Hernandez of Monte Alto, Irma Estella (Gilbert) Garcia, Jr. of San Antonio, Irene Dalia (Eddy) Valdez of Schertz; 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great- grandchildren; and 7 siblings. Our mother was a strong, loving, caring and amazing woman. She will forever be in our hearts.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
