LYDIA RENDON
LINN/SAN MANUEL – Lydia Rendon, 91, entered eternal rest Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Colonial Manor in Pharr.
Born in Starr County, Mrs. Rendon had lived in Linn-San Manuel all of her life and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Rendon; her parents, Santana and Deonicia Garza; and seven siblings, Felia (+Jose) Rodriguez, Adalberto (+Sinforosa) Garza, Sijifredo (Olga) Garza, Marta (+Arturo) Gonzales, Deonicia (+David) Self, Santana Garza, Armandina (+Saad) Abonasiff.
Lydia is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Steven) Vidaurri, Pam (Arturo Javier) Ponce, both of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Victoria (Jose) Guerra of McAllen, Sarah Ponce, Rafael Tomas Vidaurri, both of Edinburg; one great-grandchild, Emery Guerra; a sister, Graciela (Arnoldo) Garza, of Red Gate; a sister-in-law, Elma Garza of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday, August 30, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in San Manuel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
