MCALLEN - Maria Del Refugio Macias Quijada, 92, went home to our Lord, Thursday, July 8, 2021, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in Pharr, Mrs. Quijada had lived in McAllen most of her life.
She is preceded in death by a son, Adan Quijada; her parents, Gelacio and Concepcion Macias; nine siblings, Pedro Macias, Rosendo Macias, Domingo Macias, Jose Macias, Gabriel Macias, Maria Isabel Perez, Luciano Macias, Gabino Macias, and Julia Rodriguez.
Mrs. Quijada is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Francisco Quijada Jr. of McAllen; three daughters, Imelda Quijada, Maria Candelaria Quijada, both of McAllen, Margie (Israel) Rebollar of Pharr; a son, Javier Macias of Maui, HI; three grandchildren, Eric Macias of Los Angeles, CA, Taylor and Jordan Macias of Maui, HI; three siblings, Maria Rosales, Amparo Rivera, and Gloria Guerrero.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
