EDINBURG – Alicia R. Magallan, 77, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016, at her residence in Edinburg to meet her Lord.
Born in Edinburg, Alicia had lived there all of her life. Mrs. Magallan was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching every game. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her daughters. Mrs. Magallan will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Ismael Sanchez, Jr. and Jesus Adrian Magallan, II; and four siblings, Adan Rodriguez, Edelmiro Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez and Maria Rivera.
Mrs. Magallan is survived by a son, Robert (Irma) Luna of Sullivan City; two daughters, Maria Louisa (Simon, Jr.) Casas and Consuelo Flores, both of Edinburg; 9 grandchildren; Liza M. Rivera, Simon Casas III, Stephen E. Casas, Susan Cortez, Monica Flores, Monique Sanchez, Allison Sanchez, Brittany N. Luna and Robert R. Luna, Jr.; 15 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Raul Rodriguez of Edinburg, Abel Rodriguez of Chicago, IL, Aristeo Rodriguez of Iowa and Adelina Garza of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
