GUADALUPE G. MALDONADO
EDINBURG – Guadalupe G. Maldonado, 84, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Rio Grande City, Mrs. Maldonado had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Maldonado; four daughters, Santos Ibarra, Eugenia Salinas, Esternita and Rosita Maldonado; and a son, Ricardo Maldonado.
Mrs. Maldonado is survived by four daughters, Maria Elena (Ruben) Solis of Pharr, San Juanita Rico and Sylvia A. Longoria both of Edinburg, Rosalinda (Jose) Escobar of San Juan; three sons, Max (Martha) Maldonado and Alfredo (Ermelinda) Aparicio both of Edinburg, Homer Jaime (Esperanza) Maldonado of McAllen; a brother, Juan Garza of Elsa; and 31 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, May 28, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton, in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
