Daniel Marez

DANIEL MAREZ EDINBURG - Daniel Marez, 58, died Friday, April 17, 2015, at McAllen Medical Center. Mr. Marez had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He was employed by E.C.I.S.D for 16 years as an electrician. Daniel loved dancing Tejano music, spending time with his grandchildren and often reminisced about his younger days dancing at the civic center with his wife. He is preceded in death by a son, Daniel Andrew Marez; his parents, Doroteo and Concepcion Marez. Mr. Marez is survived by his wife, Norma L. Marez of Edinburg; two daughters Marissa (Humberto) Garza of Mission and Connie (Eddgar) Castillo of Arizona; two grandchildren, Daniel Andrew Garza, Ayverhi I. Castillo; three brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, April 20, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
