Maria "Mamary" De La Luz Aguinaga

McALLEN- Maria “Mamary” De La Luz Aguinaga, 73, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Arteaga; her parents, Pablo and Blandina Aguinaga; two siblings, Gloria and Jorge Lopez.

Mrs. Aguinaga is survived by her five children, Daniel Hernandez, Cesar Hernandez, Myrna Arteaga, Hilda Navarro, and Margoth Arteaga; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four siblings, Emiliano Lopez, Jr., Zolila Reyna Lopez, Victor Lopez, and Teresa Lopez.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
