Maria Luisa Torres

SAN JUAN- Maria Luisa Torres, 84, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Torres Sr.; a daughter, Filomena Guanajuato; and her parents, Martin and Lucia Hernandez.

Mrs. Torres is survived by her six children, Jose Guanajuato, Juan (Cecilia) Guanajuato, Jaime Guanajuato, Pedro (Angela Ortega) Torres Jr., Felix (Guadalupe) Torres, Domingo (Cindy L.) Torres; grandchildren, Angel L., Aaron P., Priscilla K. Torres, Aaron, Ruben De Leon, Jessie Perez, Felix Torres Jr., Violet, Nathaniel, Damaris, Nicholas Torres, Alisha, Channtel, Jose, Joshua, Joseph, Jaime Jr., Jason, Jeremy, Heather, Latasha, Jasmine, Victoria, Anastasia, Juan Anthony Guanajuato, and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four siblings, Manuel Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Beto Hernandez, and Santa Casas.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
