PHARR - Francisco Mariscal, 64, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 11, 1953 in McAllen, Texas. Francisco was known for his fellowship with friends and family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. Most of all he enjoyed being with his friends and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Bruna Mariscal; siblings, Lila Mariscal, Juan (Minerva) Mariscal, Esparanza (Frank) Escobedo, Raul (Hilda) Mariscal.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 30 years, Amadora Mariscal, his children, Olga (Jorge) Villarreal of San Juan, Texas, Irene (Rodolfo) Garza of Sherman, Texas, Leonor (Abel) Lopez of Arlington, Texas, Cristina (Ernie) Moya of Mission, Texas, Mario Alberto (Veronica) Garza of Pharr, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his siblings,

Arturo (Raquel)Mariscal, Dr. Roque (Barbara) Mariscal of San Antonio, Texas, Rosaura (Virgil +) Martin of Burnet, Texas, Clementina Mariscal, Enrique Mariscal, Alberto Mariscal of McAllen, Texas, Jesus (Ninfa) Mariscal of Mission, Texas, David (Juanita) Mariscal of Mercedes, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at a later date at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
