Anita "Nena" Martinez

Anita "Nena" Martinez, 85, passed away Tuesday, May, 23, 2023, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Martinez; grandsons, Michael Gomez and Javier Martinez; and her parents, Ignacio and Julia Herrera.
Mrs. Martinez is survived by her two sons, Juan Fernando (Irma) Martinez and Joey (†Yolanda) Martinez; four daughters, Irma (Epifanio Jr.) Gomez, Nancy (Jesus) Hernandez, Nelly (Pete) Lopez, and Lynda (Rolando) Cortez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, May 29, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
