CIRILO J. MARTINEZ
PHARR - Cirilo J. Martinez, 83, died Friday, February 13, 2009, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in San Juan and formerly of East Chicago, Indiana, he had lived in Pharr for the past 15 years. Mr. Martinez retired from Inland Steel Co. of East Chicago, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonino and Marcelina Martinez; and a sister-in-law, Tomasita Martinez.
Mr. Martinez is survived by two sons, Eric (Juana) Martinez, of San Antonio, Texas, Juvenal (Carrie) Martinez, of Crown Point, Indiana; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Olivia Martinez; two brothers, Vicente Martinez, Miguel (San Juanita) Martinez; and three sisters, Dolores (Israel Jr.) Cano, Lucia (Eliud) Tellez, and Senorina Martinez.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
