EDINBURG – Irene F. Martinez, 63, died Sunday, February 6, 2011, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edinburg, Texas, Mrs. Martinez had lived in Edinburg all of her life .
She is preceded in death by her husband, Isidro Martinez; parents, Ramon and Irene Flores; and a sister, Elvira McClung.
Mrs. Martinez is survived by five children, Yolanda Martinez, of Houston, Texas, Roberto (Jesusa) Martinez, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Isabel (Maricela Aguilar ) Martinez, Leticia (John Dimas) Martinez, Nicolas (Laura) Martinez, of Edinburg.; six grandchildren, Ashley N., Gabriel N., Christopher A. Martinez, Cecilia A. Ramos, Chareese I., Chrystal M. Olivarez; three brothers, Ramon Flores Jr., Francisco Flores, both of Edinburg, Luis Flores, of North Carolina.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today, February 10, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
