DR. JORGE A. MARTINEZ MCALLEN – Dr. Jorge A. Martinez, 70, died Friday, October 30, 2015, at his residence in McAllen. Born in Mexico, Dr. Martinez had lived in McAllen most of his life. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. Dr. Martinez enjoyed dancing ballet with a passion. He dedicated 20 years to Deborah Case Dance Academy. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Sanchez Martinez; and a sister, Yvonne Erlich Martinez. Dr. Martinez is survived by a son, Robert F. Martinez of McAllen; two daughters, Michelle (Homero) Rodriguez of McAllen, Danielle (Jesse) Gracia of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Kaitlin, Aubrey, Kaleb; a brother, Dr. Raul Martinez of McAllen; and two sisters, Rocio Bodegas De Martinez and Gladys Martinez, both of Mexico. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
