JOSE H. MARTINEZ, JR. ELSA - Jose H. Martinez, Jr., 47, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Mr. Martinez was born in Tulia, TX and had lived in Elsa most of his life. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Nicolasa Rodriguez; and his grandfather, Abdon Rodriguez. Jose is survived by his three sons, Jose H. (Priscilla) Martinez, Jr. II, of Monte Alto, Jeremy R. Martinez of Corpus Christi, TX, Jacob L. Martinez of Edcouch; three grandchildren, Jayden A. Martinez, Lauryn B. Martinez, Riley S. Martinez, all of Monte Alto; parents, Jose and Elisa Martinez, Sr. of Elsa; two brothers, Robert Saucillo of Elsa and Steve (Melissa) Martinez of Sharyland; and a sister, Sylvia Martinez of Elsa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 28, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Anahuac Cemetery in Elsa. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
