EDINBURG — Juan Martinez, 79, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at his residence in Edinburg.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Martinez, lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Lupe Martinez and Carlos Martinez.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Olga Martinez of Edinburg; a son, Juan (Kelly) Martinez, Jr. of Cloud Croft, New Mexico; three daughters, Yolanda Molina of Pharr, Gloria (Jody) Bibry of Mayhill, New Mexico, and Irma (Rafi) Reyes of Edinburg; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Merced Martinez of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Herminia Reyes of Corcoran, California, Irene Moreno and Patricia Martinez both of Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, February 21, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
