SAN JUAN - Maria Rosa Martinez, 65, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Mrs. Martinez had lived in San Juan for 36 years and was formerly of McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosalio and Juanita Rodriguez; a sister; and her father-in-law, Julian Martinez.
Maria is survived by her husband, Juan Martinez; five children, Andrea (Kent) Twyman of Houston, Isabel (David) Lintz of San Juan, Raymundo (Letty) Mata of Edinburg, Patricia Mata Maldonado of San Antonio, Joe (Jessica) Rodriguez of San Juan; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchild; eight siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, March 5, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
