MARIA SIMONA MARTINEZ
McALLEN - Maria Simona Martinez, 86, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at LifeCare Hospital of South Texas in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fermin and Inez Limon.
Ms. Martinez is survived by seven children, Juan Martinez of San Francisco, California, Francisca (Juan) Rios of Donna, Soledad (Hector) Rodriguez , Josephina Cortez, Ciro (Raquel) Martinez, all of Alamo, Santos (Maria) Martinez of New Braunfels, Texas and Dominga (Daniel) Starks of Pflugerville, Texas; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Eugenia Alafa of Mission; and three brothers, Alfredo Limon, Vicente Limon and Octaviano Limon, all of Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, June 22, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
