MARIA DIANA MARTINEZ
ALAMO - Maria Diane Martinez was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Maria went home to her lord and savior on March 25, 2022 at the age of 76. She was born on September 1, 1945, in Alamo, Texas. At the age of 19 she met her husband Frank Martinez, got married on April 19, 1965, married 57 years. Together they have six children Melissa, Frank Jr, Yvette, Frank John, David, and DeAnn.
Diane was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Luis and Luisa Cabrera; parents Adan and Eudelia Baez; three children, Frank Jr., Frank John, Yvette; and a sister-in-law, Amelia Baez.
Throughout her life she enjoyed being a cosmetologist, housewife, and a homecare provider. Diane loved to love on people. She loved spending time in the kitchen, baking goodies and cooking delicious meals for her family. Diane loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed being the communicator of the family.
Diane is survived by her husband, Frank Martinez, great aunt Minerva (Nene) Cabrera, children, Melissa (Rick) Anspach, David, DeAnn, grandchildren Priscilla (Adan), Rickey (Brigette), Julian, DJ, Justin (Kathryn), Breanna (Jerry), Rhiannon (Gilberto), Jizelle, Avan, Liliana; great-grandchildren Mari'niya, Reyna, Aaliyah, Izayis, Jacob, Naomi, Robyn, Johnny, Aiden, Xander; brothers, Noe Baez, Jesse (Judy), and sisters, Virginia, Yolanda, Rose, and her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., today March 30, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
