VICTOR "BIGO" MARTINEZ SAN JUAN - Victor "Bigo" Martinez, 40, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. Born in Dallas, Victor had lived in San Juan most of his life. He was a member of Trinity Worship Center and Liberty Temple in Pharr. He is preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Martinez; and a brother, Willie Martinez. Victor is survived by his wife, Yolanda Y. Martinez; six children, Anissa Martinez, Casilda Martinez, Leeann Martinez, Celina Martinez, Azariah Trevino, Victor Martinez; his mother, Emma Martinez, all of San Juan; three brothers, Richard Martinez, Felipe Martinez, both of San Juan, Eddie Martinez, of Arizona; and a sister, Maricela Martinez, of Arizona. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, at Liberty Temple in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Pallbearers will be Felipe Martinez, Richard Martinez, Marcos A. Jimenez, Amador Ramirez, Steven Garza and Rudy Mora III. Honorary pallbearer will be Mario Martinez. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
