Husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to all, our beloved Mauro Delgado, 80, departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest Friday, March 1, 2024, at Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis Delgado Sr., Leonor Barbosa Delgado; two brothers, Onesimo Delgado, Robert (Mary) Delgado; and a sister, Hermila (Joe) Rodriguez.
Mr. Delgado is survived by his wife, Leonor Noelia Delgado; four children, Rosie (Mario) Montelongo, Elizabeth Delgado, Larry (Jessica) Delgado, Belinda (Manny) Flores; seven grandchildren, Michaela, Miranda, Kya, Taj, Lia, Lucian, Tyson; six siblings, Margarita (+Luis) Salas, Juan (Lucy) Delgado, Rodolfo "Rudy" (Diana) Delgado, Luis (Carmen) Delgado Jr., Raquel (J.R.) Gaitan, and Gloria (Isaac) Santos.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
