SAN JUAN - Maria Nellie Medina, 65, died Monday, January 3, 2011 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in McAllen, Mrs. Medina had lived in San Juan most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Loreto Sr. and Maria De Leon.
Mrs. Medina is survived by her husband, Miguel Medina, Sr. of San Juan; two children, Tara (Isidoro "Lolo") Pulido of McKinney, Texas, Tammy Morales of Pharr; five grandchildren, Emily Morales, Marlo Morales, Faith Morales, all of Pharr, Emma Pulido, Alexander Jacob "AJ" Pulido, both of McKinney, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers, Aroldo (Angelica) De Leon, Loreto De Leon, Jr., both of Pharr; and two sisters, Nora Izaguirre of Pharr and Juanita (Santos) Escobar of Edinburg.
A prayer service was held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, today, January 5, 2011 at First Baptist Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
