Javier Melchor

EDINBURG - Javier Melchor, 52, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at his residence in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Araceli Melchor.
Mr. Melchor is survived by his son, Josiah Melchor; his father, Jose Inez Melchor Jr.; two siblings, Melissa Olivarez Melchor, Jerardo Melchor; numerous nieces and nephews. "Javi", as his close friends and family knew him, was a loving father, son, brother, compadre, godfather, and friend to many. He will be remembered for his fun-loving nature and his unwavering love for the Dallas Cowboys. Javi had a deep love for children and his life dream was fulfilled by the birth of Josiah, his son. Josiah was his biggest accomplishment. He will be missed often but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
