JOSE DE JESUS MENDEZ SR.
ALAMO - Jose De Jesus Mendez Sr.,63, died Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Jose was born in Mexico and lived in Alamo most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Del Carmen Mendez; mother Maria Anna Mendez; one brother, Daniel Mendez; and his grandson, Jose De Jesus Mendez III.
Mr. Mendez is survived by his three children, Michael (Nancy) Barocio of San Juan, Jose De Jesus (Lupita) Mendez of Alamo, and John Paul Mendez of Florida; ten granchildren; father, Jose Antonio Mendez of Pharr; four brothers Luis (Molly) Mendez, Jose Gregorio (Nelda) Mendez, Tony (Elva) Mendez; one sister, Leticia Graciela (David) Briones.
Visitation will be held today, October 3, 2011, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Memorial Funeral Home, 311 E. Expressway 83 in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
