Cruzita C. De Mendoza

ALAMO – Cruzita Mendoza, 90, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at McAllen Medical Center.


Born in Cerritos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Mrs. Mendoza had lived in Alamo most her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Emiteria Ortiz; and a sister, Maria Luisa Ortiz. Mrs. Mendoza is survived by her husband, Tito Mendoza; four daughters, Dionicia Mendoza, Maria (Emiliano) Tobias, both of Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico, Sofia (Florencio) Cisneros of Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico, and Petra (Joe) Mansfield of San Ardo, California; five sons, Martin (Karen) Mendoza of Greenville, Illinois, Jesus (Sandra) Mendoza of Edinburg, Roberto (Soledad) Mendoza of Folsom, Louisiana, Jose (Bernabe) Mendoza of Alamo and Noe (Carol) Mendoza of Tickfall, Louisiana; 31 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, January 12, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.  Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2012, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
