GUADALUPE V. “LUPITA” MENDOZA EDINBURG – Guadalupe V. “Lupita” Mendoza, 86, died Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Mendoza had lived there all of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and sister. Mrs. Mendoza loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally, she will be greatly missed by all her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eleuterio and Anita Villarreal. Mrs. Mendoza is survived by her husband of 56 years, Juan Rogelio Mendoza, Sr. of Edinburg; six children, Roberto (Juanita) Villarreal, Ana M. (Leonardo) Espinoza, Aida Mendoza, Rolando (Micaela) Mendoza, all of Edinburg, Juan Rogelio “Roy” (Lilly) Mendoza, Jr. of Pharr, Armalinda “Linda” Mendoza of El Paso; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a sister, Irene (Oscar) Alaniz of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
