Guadalupe Mendoza

GUADALUPE MENDOZA ALAMO - Guadalupe Mendoza, 87, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at her residence in Alamo. Born in Ranger, Texas, Mrs. Mendoza had lived in Alamo all of her life. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo where she was a Guadalupana. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Mendoza; two daughters, Guillermina and Maria Mendoza; two grandchildren, Priscilla Mendoza and Moises Rodriguez; four brothers; and two sisters. Mrs. Mendoza is survived by five children, Isabel (Elva) Mendoza, Lidia (Enrique †) Falcon, Juanita (Israel) Canche, all of Alamo, Herminia (Rosendo) Rodriguez, of Houston, Gilberto (Becky) Mendoza, of Pharr; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. A rosary was held Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today, October 18, 2012, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
