VERONICA MEZA
SAN JUAN - Veronica Meza, 78, passed into an eternal rest after a long illness on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Solara Hospital in Edinburg.
Mrs. Meza was born in Villa Gran, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She moved to Reynosa where she met and married her husband of forty years. She lived the majority of her adult life in Port Lavaca, Texas and moved to San Juan in 1995 where she lived the remainder of her life surrounded by friends and family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Sanchez Cuello; a sister, Maria Del Refugio Sanchez Cuello; and a brother, Jose Sanchez Cuello.
Mrs. Meza is survived by her loving husband of forty years, Jose Meza; two sons, Juan Miguel Meza and Francisco Meza; her daughter-in-law, Julie Meza; a grandson, Jose Miguel Meza; five sisters, Guadalupe Sanchez Cuello, Librada Sanchez Cuello, Maria Enriquez Sanchez, Obdulia Siller Sanchez, Audencia Elizondo Sanchez; a brother, Pilar Sanchez Cuello; and over a hundred nieces and nephews whom she cared deeply for.
A rosary was held Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, followed by a private ceremony for her family.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
