ALICIA B. MILLER EDINBURG – Alicia B. Miller, 89, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at her residence in Edinburg. Mrs. Miller was born in Galeana, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Miller, Sr. Alicia Miller is survived by her three children, Frank (Mary) Miller, Jr., Joe (Diana) Miller, both of Edinburg, Janie (Arturo) Reyes of Weslaco; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; adopted relatives Jose Jesus Basaldua, Ramiro Basaldua, Efrain Basaldua, and Maria Basaldua of Lousiana. Mrs. Miller served her community as a member of Cursillos de Cristiandad and the Legion of Mary at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Donna. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for the Basilica de la Virgen de San Juan and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, May 21, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
