Francisco Molina, 90, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Wiemar, Texas he had lived in Pharr most of his life. Francisco was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He was employed by Texas Department of Transportation for 30 years until his retirement in 1980
He is preceded in death by his parents, Crisoforo and Felicitas Molina; and nine siblings, Jose Molina, Bernardo Molina, Natividad “Nati” Molina, Natividad “Tito” Molina, Blas Molina, Juanita Molina, Genoveva Molina, Maria Trinidad Molina, Benigna Molina.
Mr. Molina is survived by his wife, Luz Zamarripa Molina; two sons, Frank (Janie) Molina, Jr., Hector Molina; a daughter, Mary Ann Molina, all of Pharr; six grandchildren, Frank Molina III, Monica Molina, Richard Fernando Molina, Hector Molina, Jr., Michael Molina, Aarron Joshua Guerra; six great-grandchildren, Jose Angel Molina, Serenity Rose Molina, Hazel Amber Lee Molina, Suhvanna Luz Molina, Richard Levi Molina, Macy Nicole Molina.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, May 8, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Pallbearers will be Frank Molina lll, Hector Molina Jr., Michael Molina, Aaron Joshua Guerra, Oscar Torres and Juan E. Moreno.
Military honors will be conducted by Catholic War Veterans Post 1065 of Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
