JOSUE G. MOLINA
MCALLEN- Josue G. Molina was called to be with our Lord on January 1, 2019.
He was born on April 22, 1935, to G.B. Molina and Sara I. Molina. He attended McAllen schools and graduated from McAllen High School in 1954, where he was very active in football, baseball, basketball and a member of the National Honor Society. He attended Schreiner Institute in Kerrville for 2 years then was drafted into the ARMY where he served 2 years. He married his high school sweetheart on May 11, 1958. Josue was an active member of El Divino Redentor United Methodist Church, where he served in many committees. He was a faithful volunteer of the church food pantry and supporter of his wife many activities. Mr. Molina loved sports and never missed Roland’s football games, Iris’s volleyball games and Norma’s band concerts and performances. For many years he coached Little League baseball games, and adult softball teams. When he could not find a sponsor for his team, he sponsored teams himself. He was a quiet man, a good listener, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Mr. Molina will be greatly missed.
Josue is preceded in death by his wife, Olga S. Molina; parents, G.B. and Sara Molina; two brothers, Ricardo Joel Molina, Moises Ezequiel Molina; and a sister, Martha Molina.
He is survived by three children, Josue Rolando (Elisa) Molina, Sylvia Iris Molina, Norma Laura Franco; four grandchildren, Josue D. (Amy) Molina, Sara B. Molina, Roland J. Molina, Timothy Nance; two great-grandchildren, Mikaela R. Molina, Josue J. Molina; and a brother, Arturo Molina.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, January 3, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019, at El Divino Redentor United Methodist Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Military honors to be conducted by U.S. Post 8788.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
