GLORIA MONTALVO
PHARR- Gloria Montalvo, 77, went home to our Lord Monday, September 3, 2018, at her residence in Pharr.
Born in Pharr, she was a lifetime member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Gloria always had a smile and warm welcome for everyone who visited her. She was very creative and enjoyed making personalized arts and crafts, and doing crossword puzzles. Ms. Montalvo was always dressed to impress. Her charisma, kindness, and smile will be missed forever by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgilio Zuniga and Blasa Contreras.
Ms. Montalvo is survived by four children, Oralia Garren, Corina Montalvo, both of Pharr, Johnny Montalvo of Clyman, WI, Jeannie May Montalvo of Pharr; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2018, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
