Aurelio “Martin” Monteagudo, Jr.
EDINBURG- Aurelio “Martin” Monteagudo, Jr., 69, went home to our Lord Monday, November 19, 2018, at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in McAllen, he had lived in Edinburg most of his life. Aurelio was a family oriented man who dedicated his life to his beloved family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Martin will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Aurelio is preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Monteagudo; one granddaughter, Natasha Breann Salinas; his parents, Martin and Ernestina Monteagudo; and a brother, Rafael Monteagudo.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Elisa Monteagudo;
three children, Gerardo Monteagudo, Marlinda Monteagudo, Cidelia (Johnny Gomez) Monteagudo, all of Edinburg; five grandchildren, Derick, Devin, Dominic Salinas, Natalie, Jayden Gomez; and five siblings, Maria Belen Balli, Irene Gonzalez, Aurora Cantu, Rudy Monteagudo, and Raul Monteagudo.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
