MONA MORA
EDINBURG - Mona Jen Mora entered into God's glory March 30, 2021. She was born May 29, 1954 in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Fort Bragg Army Base. She lived in Corpus Christi, Texas until she went off to Pan American College in Edinburg, where she met and married the love of her life, Gerardo Mora. Together they had three daughters. Mona adored being a stay at home mom and raising her girls. Her joy came from family and praising God, this was obvious after just a few minutes talking to her. She sang and played her guitar for Children's Church at Abundant Grace, she loved to worship and dance. She absolutely doted on her grandchildren and was the best "Nana" in the world. Our hearts are full of wonderful memories and love. God called her home and she heard the words "well done, good and faithful servant." And she will celebrate Jesus' resurrection on the streets of gold, dancing and praising her Lord and Savior.
Mona is preceded in death by her father, Gabriel Lozano Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Gerardo Mora, her three daughters, Melissa Pena (Jonathan), Vanessa Mora, and Sara Mora. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Maya, Jacob, Elijah, and Molly Pena; her mother, Josie Falcon Lozano and her siblings Gabriel Lozano III (Juanita), Lena Lozano, James Lozano (Diana), and Edie Rossmeisl (Paul); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021, at Abundant Grace Community Church in Edinburg.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
