LORENZA D. MORALEZ LA BLANCA - Lorenza D. Moralez, 83, died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Windsor- Arbor View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Edinburg. Born in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, MX, Ms. Moralez had lived in La Blanca most of her life. She was a caring mother and loved her Chihuahuas. She is preceded in death by three children, Teresita Gutierrez, Francisco Torres, Jesus Torres; her parents, Agustin and Maria De La Luz Diaz; a granddaughter, Rebecca Moralez Alaquinez; a great-grandson, Eusebio Escobedo, III, a brother, Domingo Diaz; and a sister, Lupita Diaz. Ms. Moralez is survived by five children, Victor Moralez, Gilberto (Debra) Moralez, Sylvia (Jesus) Moreno, all of La Blanca, Antonio (Mary) Moralez of Madelia, MN, Carolina Mata of Edinburg; a son-in-law, Nicolas Gutierrez of Mission; a daughter-in-law, Graciela Torres of Edinburg; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alberto Diaz of Elsa; and a sister, Maria Diaz of Elsa. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, March 8, 2015,at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. The family would like to give special thanks to Windsor-Arbor View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
