FEDERICO ZARATE MORENO
SAN JUAN – Federico Zarate Moreno, 83, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at his residence in San Juan.
Born in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico, Mr. Zarate lived in San Juan for the past 12 years and was formerly of Pharr.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria C. Zarate; two children, Cecilia Zarate and Juan Manuel Zarate; his parents, Ciro and Beatriz Zarate; and a grandchild, Daniel Zarate.
Mr. Zarate is survived by 15 children, Federico (Emma) Zarate Jr., Salvador (Silvia) Zarate, Maria (Romeo) Mata, Maria Concepcion (Jose) Huerta, Carlos (Rosie) Zarate, Manuel (Carmen) Zarate, Miguel Zarate, Eleazar Zarate, Nancy Zarate, all of San Juan, Raul (Mari) Zarate, Maria Milagros (Eduardo) Cantu, both of Edinburg, Jaime (Isabel) Zarate of Pharr, Gilberto (Annabelle) Zarate, Sylvia (Cristobal) Vela, both of Alamo, and Elsa (Ciro) Hernandez of Mission; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, today, June 15, 2011, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery in San Juan.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
