EDINBURG – Gabriela C. Moreno, 90, died Thursday, March 18, 2011, at Mission Regional Medical Center.
Born in Martindale, Texas, Mrs. Moreno had lived in San Juan most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Moreno, a daughter, San Juanita Moreno; her parents, Fidencio and Luciana Castaneda.
Mrs. Moreno is survived by two sons, Juanito (Delia) Moreno, of Edinburg, Samuel (Sylvia) Moreno, of San Juan; a daughter, Maria Elena Moreno, of San Juan; ten grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters who reside in California are Alberto (Ester) Castaneda, Cruz Castaneda, Leon (Maria) Castaneda, Juan Castaneda; Petra Vela, Lilly Vasquez, Magaret (Robert) Garcia, Solia Palmerin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm with a 7 pm prayer service, today, March 20, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
