RAMON V. MORENO, SR.

SAN JUAN – Ramon V. Moreno Sr., 97, died Saturday, October 8, 2011, at his residence in San Juan.
Born in McAllen, Mr. Moreno had lived in San Juan all of his life and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
Ramon was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and a generous, spiritual, compassionate teacher of life. He was a man whose heart was filled with unconditional love for his family. He will be deeply missed and remembered dearly.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia C. Moreno.
Mr. Moreno is survived by nine children, Rodolfo Moreno, Maria Albina Ruiz, Raquel Alicia Barrera, Guadalupe Hernandez, Ramon Moreno Jr., Maria Isabel Moreno, San Juanita Muniz, Victor Manuel Moreno, all from San Juan, Carlos Moreno Sr., from Edinburg; 39 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 10, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
