SAN JUAN – Keith Richard Morgan passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011, at the age of 68.
Keith, better known as Dick, was born February 6, 1943 in Muncie, Indiana to Archie and Mary Morgan. He was raised in Albany, Indiana as the youngest of 12 children.
Dick served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1966, followed by two additional years in the Air Force reserves. Dick worked 32 years at Northwestern Indiana Telephone Co. in Hebron, Indiana. He retired in 2001 due to health issues.
In June of 1968, Dick married Shirley A. Akers of Valparaiso, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by a son, Keith R. Morgan Jr.; his parents, Archie and Mary Morgan; three brothers, Robert Morgan, Jack Morgan, Joe Morgan; and two sisters, Martha Groover and Sue Jones.
Dick is survived by his wife, Shirley, of San Juan; four brothers, Max Morgan, Jim Morgan, Gene Morgan and Tom Morgan; two sisters, Sarah Brumfield and Madonna Hough, all of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. His request was to be cremated.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
