EDINBURG – Jose “Joey” Muniz, 30, died on Saturday, July 24, 2010, in Edinburg.
Born in Edinburg, Joey had lived there most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Octavio Muniz Sr.
Joey is survived by three children, Jose Muniz Jr., Ethen Muniz both of Edinburg, Juliette Muniz of La Blanca; his mother, Josefina Muniz; two sisters, Esmeralda Elias of Arcadia, Florida, Beatriz Losoya of Edinburg; three brothers, Martin Muniz, Octavio Muniz Jr. and Jesse Muniz all of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 28, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
