EMMA LILIA RAMIREZ MUNOZ PHARR - Emma Lilia Ramirez Munoz, 83, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Santa Elena, Texas, Mrs. Munoz had lived in Pharr since 1956. She is preceded in death by her parents, Efrain and Maria Ramirez; a son, Romeo Munoz, Jr.; and a brother, Efrain Ramirez. Mrs. Munoz is survived by her husband, Romeo Munoz, of Pharr; six children, Ana (Beto) Martinez, Alma (Javier) Moroles, both of San Juan, Raul Alberto Munoz, Roel Munoz, Rocky Munoz, all of Pharr, Rogelio Munoz, of Alton; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maria Ella (Rene) Pena, of Edinburg, Marcela (†Fernando) Garza, of Fort Worth, Imelda (†Humberto) Saldivar, of Harlingen; and a brother, Renato (Rosa) Ramirez, of Palmview. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 19, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
