EDINBURG – Eva Munoz, 83, died on Monday, October 3, 2011, at South Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
Eva was born in George West, Texas and had lived in Edinburg all of her life. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Munoz, Sr.
Mrs. Munoz is survived by four children, Cristobal (Dolores) Munoz of St. Agustine, Florida, Roberto (Marianne) Munoz, Jr. of Houston, Texas, Roel (Cristina) Munoz of San Juan, and San Juanita Munoz of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, Chris Jr., Michael Joseph, Robert III, Miguel, and Matthew; six great-grandchildren, Miranda, Mallory, Jackson, Lilly, Diego, and Robert IV; three sisters, Domitila Cantu of Edinburg, Petra Garza of Alvin, Texas, and Cipriana Negrete of Rosenberg, Texas; two brothers, Victoriano Garza of Edinburg, and Armando Garza of Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be held today, October 5, 2011, from 5 to 9 with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Eva, a loving wife and mother who loved to cook and care for her family will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
