RUBEN V. MUNOZ
EDINBURG – Ruben V. Munoz, 75, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mr. Munoz was formerly of Corpus Christi, Texas and had lived in Edinburg since 1984. He was a member of Abundant Grace Community Church in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mariana and Jose Maria Munoz; a brother, Juan Munoz; and a sister, Ernestina Munoz.
Mr. Munoz is survived by his wife, Emma L. Munoz, of Edinburg; five children, Ruben L. Munoz, Jr. and Ralph Munoz, both of Edinburg, Diane Thompson and Emma G. Ortivez, both of San Antonio, Nadine Martinez, of Nampa, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lupe Campos, Calla Ramirez, Irma Trevino, all of Corpus Christi, Texas, Fela Munoz, of Nampa, Idaho, Ninfa Munoz Villarreal, of Houston, Texas; and a brother, Chemo Munoz, of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, April 27, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
