PHARR - Martin U. Murillo, 86, died Friday, June 18, 2010, at Comfort House in McAllen.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Murillo had lived in Pharr since 1986 and was a member of Templo Bethel in Pharr. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during World War II.
Mr. Murillo is survived by his wife, Blanca Nelia Murillo, of Pharr; two daughters, Ruth M. (Gary) Woodward, of Apple Valley, California, Evangelina Jimenez, of Burbank, California; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 6 pm prayer service today, June 20, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Monday, June 21, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
