AMALIA CUEVAS NAVA
ALAMO - Amalia Cuevas Nava, 87, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Mrs. Nava was a lifelong resident of Alamo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Isidoro Nava; a daughter, Rosa Alva Garcia; her parents, Guadalupe and Josefa Cuevas; and four siblings, Arturo Cuevas, Antonia Garcia, Ruben Cano, and Guadalupe Cano.
Mrs. Nava is survived by seven children, Rene (Rosa) Nava of Plainview, Raul Nava of McAllen, Roberto (Delia) Nava, Rogelio (Eleticia) Nava, both of Alamo, Raquel (Ramiro) Quintanilla of San Juan, Ramiro (Socorro) Nava of Donna, Rebeca (Raul) Garza of Pharr; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Amelia Torres, Armando Cuevas, both of Idaho, Adelina Ramos of Alamo, Arnulfo Cuevas and America Cuevas, both of Florida.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Pallbearers will be Christian S. Garza, Ramiro Quintanilla Jr., Rogelio Nava Jr., Romeo Nava, Roberto Nava Jr., and Omer Garcia III.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
