GLORIA OBREGON
SAN JUAN- Gloria Obregon, 71, went home to our Lord Monday, October 29, 2018, at Solara Hospital in McAllen.
Born in San Juan, she was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish. Gloria had a heart of gold, one of a kind. Her pride and joy was her family. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Gloria would express her love and care to everyone that would approach her. Ms. Obregon loved her pets, Buddy, G.G., and Jack. Her smile and charming charisma will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francisco Obregon; her parents, Cruz R. and Minerva Martinez; and three brothers, Luis, Robert, and Hector Martinez.
Gloria is survived by two children, Federico (Kennya) Rodriguez of McAllen, Angelica (Javier) Elizondo of San Juan; eight grandchildren, Audry (Michael), Aimee (Justin), Sophia (Fernando), Javier, Robbie, Haylee, Kaylee, Lindsey; four great-grandchildren, Melanie, Ethan, Bailey, Alyssa; five siblings, Carmen Acevedo of Edinburg, Blanca (Dr. John) Houston of Buda, TX, Corina (Loren) Lohrman of Colorado, Anita Vargas of San Juan, Frank (Elva) Martinez of Pharr; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Memorial service mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
