RAFAEL G. OCHOA
MCALLEN - Rafael G. Ochoa, 71, passed on to his eternal rest Monday, April 12, 2021, in Houston after years' battle with cancer disease.
"Dad was so full of life, very spiritual, placed God's will before the start of the day, free-spirited. He listened to people talk about their life in general. His true outdoor enjoyment was the cookouts and greatest athletic spectator of his children and grandchildren's performances. A die-hard supporter of the win or lose Cowboys. He was a jack of all trades, innovative and we will miss his grand wisdom, of his 50+ tenured work years, he missed at most 10 days. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend. Always placed his family first, was charming, understanding. His laughter was contagious, made you feel special. One could see what my father's heart was saying through his eyes as he listened to you talk. His strong hands were always there for back rubs and hugs. Last but not least, greatest dancer ever."
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas Ochoa and Antonia Garza; a grandson, +Aiden Thomas Ochoa; two brothers, Reynaldo and Laureano Ochoa.
Mr. Ochoa is survived by his wife of 47 years, Emma Degollado Ochoa, three children, Rafael (Gisela) Ochoa, Jr, Efraim (Marisela) Ochoa, Alexus Aaron Ochoa; seven grandchildren, Rafael Javier, Nathan Ryan, Victoria Renee, Ian Marcus, Faith Lauryn, Hope Isabella, Jacob Andrew; five sisters, Paula, Aurora, Aurelia, Martha, Eva; and numerous nieces and nephews.
