Alamo, TX - Olga Rodriguez, 72, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Mission Regional Medical Center. Olga was a lifelong resident of Alamo, TX. She attended Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High School and worked for many years as a Cafeteria Line Server, Teacher Aide and Community aide until retirement. After retirement, Olga's passion for politics resulted in her participation in many local, county, and state elections throughout the years.

Olga, a true pillar of strength and kindness, known for her warm embrace, unwavering support, and endless generosity towards family, friends and the community, lived life to the fullest with her contagious laugh, enjoying the simplest pleasures in life. She very much loved spending quality time with family. She had an uncanny way to help people and impact them in a positive way.

Olga was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, mother figure, and friend. A true matriarch, Olga always put the needs of others before her own. Her love was truly unconditional, and her wisdom invaluable.

She was a faithful member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo, where for many years was part of the choir and played the organ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Santana (+) and Rafaela Garcia(+).

Olga is survived by her husband of 54 years, Pablo Rodriguez of Alamo; four sons: Pablo (Melissa), Juan, Aaron (Linda), Javier (Claudia); and one daughter, Miriam Rodriguez; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by seven siblings, Juanita (Jorge) Carrizalez, Santana (Genoveva) Garcia, Ramona (+ Jose) Barron, Alicia (Isidro) Zavala, Alvina (+Jorge) Morales, Isaac Garcia, & Adan (Lydia) Garcia, all of Alamo.

Olga will be deeply missed by all the countless souls whose lives she touched with her radiant spirit. She leaves an enduring legacy of love and compassion.

Visitation will begin at 5 pm, with a 6 pm rosary at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, TX on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Funeral service will take place at 2 pm on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, TX.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
