AMADOR OLIVAREZ PHARR – Amador Olivarez, 73, died Tuesday May 13, 2014, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Big Springs, Texas, he had lived in Pharr most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orencio and Vidala Olivarez; and a brother, Adan Olivarez. Mr. Olivarez is survived by his wife Betty Olivarez of Pharr; a son, Amador (Liza) Olivarez, Jr. of Edinburg; four daughters, Irene (Andy) Garza of Sharyland, Margarita (Mario) De La Rosa of Round Rock, Texas, Leticia (David) Montes of Pharr, and Betsy (Nereo) Falcon of Pasadena, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Eliberto Olivarez, Salvador Olivarez, and Delfino Olivarez; seven sisters, Amalia Castro, Amelia Ramirez, Lila Hernandez, Oralia Peralez, Herminia Olivarez, Chavela Arjona, and Estela Lopez. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, May 15, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
